The cross-check is a useful component of the integrity loop. Without this check, mistakes could occur and go unnoticed.

The cross-check process compares the original site survey data to the prepared deliverable.

This is identical to what happens during the fabrication inspection, however the site survey is utilised to cross-check the deliverable. The errors must be near zero, if not, we know that the deliverable has been created incorrectly.

Run the calculated version of the survey file against the deliverable file, the calculated version retains the flange taped thickness and context (Bolted Up, Open Tie-In, etc).
