Overview

The quality assurance report shows the quality of the survey observation, it does not show the quality of the manufacture of the pipe spool.
The QA report shows:
| Column name | Description |
|---|---|
| Fitting | The Fitting declared in the design file, (if the diameter and PCD Avg values are small flanged confirmed). |
| Device | The Device type used for each flange. |
| D points (Coverage) | Diameter point coverage. See here for more details. |
| Flange plane | This should typically be below 1mm for fab surveys and 3mm for site surveys. |
| Pitch | Radial error between bolt-holes in millimetres. Typical values should be below 1mm for fab surveys and 5mm for site surveys. |
| Support base plate length width and thickness | The difference between the actual and the values entered in the design file for the base plate. |
| Diameter Avg | The difference between the actual flange/hub/pipe OD and the design value. |
| Diameter Max | The OD roundness. Typical values should be below 1mm for fab surveys and 2mm for site surveys. |
| PCD Avg | The difference between the actual flange PCD (pitch circle diameter) and the design value. |
| PCD Max | PCD roundness. Typical values should be below 1mm for fab surveys and 5mm for site surveys. The site survey values can be large because the observation will be taken on the end of the flange studs/nuts. |
Plane
The maximum error from a plane across the flange face. This happens when the type 7 is lifted upwards for some reason. If your error is larger than 2 mm you will get a warning.
Max OD
This is the maximum error from a circle. If one of the points sits outwards from the flange for some reason, the normally circular flange becomes elongated.
PCD Error
Pitch circle diameter error (PCD)/Bolt circle diameter - the circle that passes through all the boltholes.
Max Pitch (Angle) Error
The error in the angle between bolt boles (in mm).
