In-Situ Survey to Deliverable Verification
Executing transform sequences, editing deliverable coordinates, and running calculated cross-checks in automet® FAB.
Survey Analysis and Transform Sequence
Input the approximate preliminary design into automet® FAB and execute the in-situ field survey. Load the survey file into the analysis module and open the **Visual Report**.
1. Step-by-step transform and report generation
- Load the initial survey file into the visual report interface.
- Apply **Transform – Rotate Vertical** to align vertical axes.
- Apply **Transform – Rotate Into Plane** to orient spool geometry.
- Apply **Transform – Translate F01 to Zero** to set origin baselines.
- Produce and print the site survey **Text Report**.

Critical Parameter Verification
When generating the deliverable drawing from text report values, ensure that flange coordinates, azimuth angles, zenith angles, and bolt-hole orientations match the text report exactly.
Deliverable Cross-Check Procedure
To verify deliverable integrity and model how the replacement spool will fit on site, perform a cross-check fit analysis.
Cross-check execution rules
- File loading: Load the newly created deliverable file alongside the CALCULATED version of the original survey file. Using the calculated file preserves all measured flange face offsets, gasket allowances, and taped thicknesses.
- Fitting-to-fitting constraints: Because fitting-to-fitting alignment was maintained between Flange 01 (F01) and Elbow 01 (E01), circle-fits are unlinked from fit parameters while maintaining vertical alignment. The replacement spool retains original verticality but translates 5.7 mm South in position, with variance absorbed above the 45° elbow to keep Flange 02 (F02) in its precise location.
- Support/trunnion verification: The position and plane of the trunnion (excluding elevation) are excluded from fit calculations. This allows the surveyor to independently verify that trunnion elevation is correct while confirming terminal flanges match within zero tolerance.
